Prophet Exchange, the first pure peer-to-peer U.S. sports betting exchange, announced that it has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of New Jersey-native Joseph Caputi as Director of Compliance. Caputi, a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, joins Prophet Exchange from his former role with storied Philadelphia law firm Duane Morris LLP. He will lead compliance efforts company-wide effective immediately.

While at Duane Morris (2019-21), Caputi earned valuable experience working in the gaming sector, including efforts with clients in the regulatory, construction, finance, and IP spheres. He co-authored publications such as Virginia General Assembly Passes Expansive Gambling Legislation (2020) and Small Business Administration Updates Interim Regulatory Guidelines to Help Certain Gaming Companies (2020), among others.
Prior to joining Duane Morris, Caputi served as Managing Editor of Operations for Villanova Law Review, the flagship academic journal of Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law (2018-19). His decorated experience also includes roles with the Office of the Honorable Judge Mark A. Kearney, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (2017), and Console Mattiacci Law LLC (2017).
A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law (2019), Caputi earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Xavier University (2016).
