The bacta Social Responsibility Exchange will take place in London on 21st November, the day immediately prior to the bacta Convention and AGM. The free-to-attend event offers a packed day with high profile speakers, panel discussions and workshops, all focused on achieving best practice.
From the outset the event was designed to be inclusive, with operators asked to include front-line staff. The response has been exceptional, with registrations from a wide cross-section of those involved with problem gambling.
Justin Prescott, Gambling Compliance Manager at Silcock leisure will be participating in the event as a panellist at the session: Improving the customer journey for the problem or at-risk customer. Silcock Leisure Group is a fifth generation family business with over 125 years experience in the leisure & amusement industry. Located in Southport and Blackpool with more than 100 employees, the company operates Family Amusement Centres, Adult Gaming Centres, Fish & Chip Restaurants and Ice Cream Parlours.
Justin started his career at Silcock Leisure as a fruit machine technician 30 years ago. He quickly moved up the ranks due to his outstanding customer service skills, which he then further developed whilst serving 2 seasons with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in America.
A degree in Mathematics and Computing brought Justin back into the industry full time as an IT manager, progressing to Gambling Compliance Manager, with overall responsibility for compliance with the Gambling Act and for Social Responsibility training. Justin is an innovator in the use of technology in the arcade environment, having designed several bespoke systems.
“I am looking forward to the SR Exchange as it’s an ideal opportunity to share and discuss ideas and experiences with other operators and hopefully shape the future direction of Social Responsibility.” – commented Justin Prescott.
